It was two in the morning, so I was surprised when I rolled over to find Tosh wasn’t in bed with me. Not feeling his arms around me was what woke me up in the first place. I figured he was in the bathroom or getting a drink, so I rested on my back waiting for him to return.

After twenty or thirty minutes passed, he hadn’t returned, but I needed to pee. I climbed out of bed and stuck my feet in the slippers that I kicked off before getting into bed. I relieved my bladder and washed my hands. Then I headed to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water from the refrigerator.

As I walked toward the kitchen, I heard someone talking in a hushed tone. I recognized Tosh’s voice. It didn’t sound like an argument, so I assumed Tosh and Greene were up late working out some business. I suddenly became self-conscious about the night shorts I was wearing. I looked down, assuring myself the shorts were a tasteful length. I rounded the corner to the kitchen, and my hand flew to my mouth seeing Tosh standing at the island with another man.

“Sorry!” I quickly blurted before turning on my heels and scurrying back to the room.
